It has been a busy and productive start to 2023. We enjoyed getting to see so many of our investors at the annual meeting in January, where we had a great update from Mr. Jim Bradford, the Fort Knox deputy garrison commander. It is clear Fort Knox is strong and well-positioned for growth.
Our visit to the V Corps operations center was fascinating and inspiring. The importance of their work cannot be overstated and it was such an honor to see and hear first-hand from the V Corps team. Interestingly, the people we met reinforced the important role a supportive community plays in their ability to do their mission and repeatedly thanked us. It was a welcome reminder of KRDA’s commitment to making sure our community is doing all it can to support Fort Knox Soldiers and their families. Not only is it the right thing to do, it’s the smart thing to do because our support helps Fort Knox stay on a growth trajectory.
When we limit encroachment, it allows Soldiers to train and enhances military readiness. When we connect military spouses and transitioning Soldiers with employment opportunities, we help military families thrive. When our community invests in quality schools, additional housing options, and new quality-of-life amenities, it makes Fort Knox a station of choice, not only for Soldiers and their families, but for new missions too.
None of our success happens without working together. We appreciate strong partnerships with leaders on post, in our communities, in Frankfort, and on Capitol Hill. Our thanks to each of you for the role you are playing in keeping our region’s economic engine strong and growing.
Warm Regards,
Marilyn and Jim
