Maj. Gen. retired Troy Kok is an Army Aviator who served his country for more than 37 years, including as Commanding General of all Army Reserve Aviation. He is also a small business owner of a local home renovation firm and on the team of a defense contractor. Originally from New Jersey, like so many military retirees, Kok chose to call the Greater Fort Region home following his service. Kok serves as the Army Reserve Ambassador for Kentucky is also the President of the local AUSA chapter and as such holds an ex officio seat on the KRDA board.
Like many other military retirees, my family and I chose to call the Greater Fort Knox Region home. There are countless reasons - an unmatched quality of life, low cost of living, and the welcoming, caring people are just a few examples. It truly is a special place.
